Nani Mau is located approximately 4 miles form Hilo town and 25 miles northeast of Hawaii
Volcanoes National Park. If coming form downtown Hilo or Hilo International Airport, take
Highway 11 south and take the second left turn into Makalika Street after passing the 3 mile-
marker. If traveling down from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, take Highway 11 north and
take the second right turn into Makalika Street after passing the 4-mile marker.
