It's the largest family in the flowering kingdom, and you'll find hundreds of them here, from the delicate "dancing doll" oncidiums to the flamboyant corsage cattleyas. There are those that smell like chocolate and those that smell like vanilla. There are striped blossoms and speckled ones, pure species and cross-bred hybrids. You'll always find a profusion of blooming potted orchids in the Orchid Walkway, but be sure to also look in the tree branches throughout the gardens; you may discover the epiphytes flowering there.
