Hours: Nani Mau Gardens is open daily year around including holidays:
               9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Tours:   Visitors can choose a self-guided tour or a narrated educational tram tour.

Self-Guided Tour

Visitors who would like to explore the gardens at their own pace may pick up a garden map at the
Admissions desk and are welcome to spend as much time exploring as desired.

Narrated Tram Tour ($5.00for adults, $3.00 for children 4-10)

For educational purposes, a half-hour narrated tram tour is recommended, especially for visitors
from the mainland and other countries who have limited knowledge of tropical plants. The tram tour
 offers an over view of the gardens and provides sufficient knowledge and information
 about the garden and various tropical floral and plants. The tram winds its way through
 different gardens and takes visitors into many different plant environments. Our friendly
 English and Japanese speaking guides will show our guests various tropical flowers
 and plants in the gardens and answer any questions. The narrated tram tour operates
 daily. The trams are usually reserved for the cruise ship visitors on Monday morning,
 so plan accordingly.

Groups of over 10 people can enjoy special group rates. For group tour information and rates,  please

Educational School Tours

Nani Mau is continuously supporting the education of our Big Island youth. Exclusively to Big Island
Schools, Nani Mau offers 75% savings on admission and tours for groups of 10 or more. Plus, we
offer delicious and affordable lunches for added convenience. Every year over 1500 students from
the Big Island, other Hawaiian islands and the mainland U.S. take our educational school tours and
enjoy our beautiful gardens. For student group reservations, please call (808) 959-3500.  

Admission, Tram Tour & Lunch Packages

After visiting the beautiful gardens, visitors can enjoy a delicious island buffet lunch at our Garden
Court Restaurant. An Admission & Lunch combination ticket can be purchased at the Admission
Desk for only $16.00 ($13.00 for local residents) or Tram & Lunch combination for $21.00 ($18.00
for local residents).
